Ologbondiyan stated, “For us within the PDP, each case of defection, whether or not by governors or legislators, might be examined in courtroom.

“The mandate belongs to the celebration, not the person; we’ll go to courtroom and make sure that the folks’s mandate shouldn’t be stolen.”

Wike had given the recommendation in a press release by his Particular Adviser on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, titled ‘Wike asks PDP to problem defection of Umayi, Ayade, others in courtroom,’ and made accessible to journalists on Saturday night.

“What the PDP is searching for isn’t just that they wish to reclaim the seats, however {that a} pronouncement have to be made by the  judiciary on this incessant defection with none purpose in any respect, to be able to improve and strengthen our democracy.”

He added, “Let or not it’s on the document that the celebration (PDP) has been in a position to problem it and allow us to await the end result of the choice of the courtroom, as a result of the courtroom has a job to strengthen our democracy. And a part of the position the courtroom should play is to make a last pronouncement on this problem of defections from one celebration to the opposite.”
