Music licensing startup Slip.stream has raised $3.25m in an preliminary funding spherical.
The spherical was led by Third Prime with participation from LightShed Ventures, Operator Companions, and Sprint Fund.
Slip.stream, described as a “creator protected music platform” was launched by entrepreneurs by David Carson (Fuse, Heavy.com, New Stand founder), Dan Demole (Jingle Punks founder) and Jesse Korwin (Jingle Punks CMO).
The platform gives a copyright strike protected library of over 50,000 tracks and 40,000 sound results, full of what it says is “actual music from actual artists”.
Slip.stream claims to be eradicating “the friction round music rights” and permitting creators to incorporate music of their movies and streams.
Co-CEO David Carson based Fuse music tv, the rock channel that was later offered to Jennifer Lopez’s NUVOtv for $226 million.
Carson can also be the founding father of publishing media firm, Heavy.com and New Stand, which not too long ago closed a $40m fundraising spherical.
