THE Nationwide Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni, Kebbi and Jigawa state governors, Abubakar Bagudu and Muhammad Abubakar, respectively, held a closed-door assembly with the daddy of a former Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Chief Alani Bankole, in Abeokuta, on Monday.
Our correspondent gathered that the previous Speaker, Dimeji Bankole led Buni and the 2 different governors to his father’s home in Abeokuta, for the assembly.
The group, which had visited the Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun at his Iperu-Remo residence over his father’s demise, proceeded to Abeokuta the place the closed-door assembly was held.
It was learnt that the Buni-led group visited the octogenarian as a part of consultations with political leaders within the South-West forward of the 2023 basic election.
The group had paid an identical go to to former Oyo State Governor, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, in his Ibadan residence.
They arrived at Chief Bankole’s residence at 2:19 pm the assembly ended at 3:05 pm.
Though particulars of the assembly had been sketchy as of the time of submitting this report, it was learnt that the discussions centered across the state of the nation and the polity.
